Vienna in the summer

Every year in spring-time the summer season in Vienna is introduced by the blooming season of the cherry and the lilac. The City Park, which is located just around the corner of your holiday flat, invites you to a take walk through this beautiful scenery!

In May, the Vienna festival brings very special music, stage plays and dancing events to the City of Vienna and at the end of June, one of the biggest European Open Air events takes place – the “Donau Inselfest”.
And once you are sitting on a warm summer evening in a vineyard while having a fine glass of “Heuriger” you will know at the latest – this is Vienna.

During summer you can reach every destination in Vienna and its fringe area (“Prater”, conservation area “Lobau”, etc.) either by the Underground, tram line or bus. All of these public transports can be reached easily from the holiday flat.

Discover Vienna by bike

Do you want to experience the free nature by bike and take a break from the urban buzz of activity? There are numerous “City Bike stations” from where you can rent a bike for relatively reasonable prices. For a registration fee of just 1 Euro you get the first rental hour for free.

For active vacationers and sports lovers

Sports facilities in the city give you the opportunity to try out almost every kind of sports you might be interested in. If you want to go for a run you will find running tracks far off the urban traffic. And if you are more interested in hiking – there are quite a number of hiking trails even in the urban area (!) of Vienna.

Swimming pools and the “Donauinsel” are good places to bathe in the sun or just to refresh yourself in the water on hot summer afternoons.

Beer gardens

After a long day of exciting events and sportive activities you may want to take a well deserved rest at one of the many beer gardens, vineyards or “Schanigärten”.
Vienna, for sure, is always a very refreshing and inspiring experience for every visitor.
